Winding
The movement in your watch is a manual movement. You wind your watch by turning the crown clockwise (away from you when looking at the dial) between thumb and index finger until you feel a marked resistance. Once you feel resistance do not continue to wind or force the movement as this can cause damage . When fully wound your watch has a power reserve of around 42-45 hours.
Setting the time
To set the time on the watch, carefully pull the crown outwards away from the watch. Turn the crown clockwise (away from you when looking at the dial). You should avoid setting the time by turning the hands backwards. When you have finished, carefully press the crown back in.
Case care
The case of your watch is made from nickel-free stainless steel and sapphire crystal glass. To clean the case wipe with a damp lint free cloth.
Water Resistance
Your watch is not waterproof but is water resistant. It is recommended not to swim or shower with the watch. It is splash-proof but contact with water should be avoided.
Please always ensure that the crown is always fully closed and against the case after setting the time.
Strap care
Leather and moisture don’t make a great combination. Make sure your strap does not get wet and keep it in rooms where humidity is moderate. If it should get wet, dab the leather surface with a dry cloth and avoid rubbing it.
In addition, it is recommended to remove the watch during sports. The inner leather will remain free of of sweat and avoids that moisture penetrates into the leather layers.
Shock
Your mechanical watch is comprised of many small parts that must work perfectly together. The movement has an incabloc shock protection but shocks and drops on to hard surfaces must be avoided as this can damage the watch.
