Our Story
We don't have a marketing department and we don't have a branding agency. But, we did have an idea...
He said that we could make one and after a few ifs and buts we decided we do it. When else would we have the chance to make our own watch.
We teamed up and set out to design a watch that we both loved. The perfect size, that we could both wear. A watch that draws its inspiration from an earlier era of style and simple design.
With a love for watches and a stubbornness for detail we set out on a journey with the watchmaker bringing the technical and production knowledge. With a fond memory of our grandfathers winding their watches and living in Switzerland we knew it could only be one movement - Swiss, mechanical and hand wound. Of course there is more to a watch than the movement- the dial and hands are critical to the overall look of the watch. Also the strap, packaging and the text you are reading now all had a lot of thought put into it.
Since we wanted this watch for ourselves we didn't cut any corners with strange movements or off the shelf parts from a catalogue. The movement is Swiss made, the case has a display back with sapphire crystal, the dial has raised hour markers (not printed) and the hands are made just for us. The straps and case you won't find anywhere else.
The rest, as they say is history. And will remain as history. There will only ever be 100 of this design. No more and never again. (Its actually 98 as we both have one each).
Otherwise you will have to wait for our next GMT series...
A Swiss wife (Alexandra) and an English husband (Bruno) with a fascination for watches. Either vintage, repaired from the market or assembled and rescued from different parts.
We were always looking for a clean and simple watch design that we could both wear. A mechanical watch for a woman that wasn't covered in wild animals or diamonds. A mechanical watch for a man that could be worn in a variety of situations.

We struggled to find one, but were lucky enough to be in a situation where we could make one. Living in Switzerland, the home of watch making, we had a chance encounter with a local watch maker.

The watchmaker and our watch
We don't actually make our watch, this is handled by a team of professional watch makers (as well as dial, hand and case makers) in Switzerland. But we oversee every step (which is why we remade the hands twice, to get the perfect length).
Our leather goods (straps and pouch) come from a small atelier in Germany, custom made to our specifications and finished with our logo.
The coffee shop where we plan all of this is across the road from our flat in Zurich.
